According to the Telegraph in GB an off duty SAS soldier was at that mall in Kenya when the terrorist attacked. He was carrying a handgun and used it to save many lives.

I wonder why we haven't heard about this in any main stream press here in this country?

Some Brits still have what it takes!
The only things newsworthy today are features about rich Hollywood types, mass carnage and saving poor animals like beached whales or dolphins. Sadly saving human lives does not rate as news anymore.

A good man in the right place at the right time. Looks like a spare mag in his left pocket.

That's a brave dude taking what looks like a PPK to an AK fight.

The news stories I’ve read indicate he was an EX Royal Marine and his handgun never came out of it’s holster.

Having a gun in your pocket while doing something brave =/= “using” a gun to save lives

We have discussed this fellow quite a bit in the thread on how to act in a similar situation.

He was a trained security operative and helped lead some people to safety. Doesn't seem to have used his gun at all.
