Thanks guys...I will keep you updated. I will look into the UMP as well. In .40 of course. I've done bids before...we did one on the MP5...thats how we got scared off by price. But I gotta ask...why are we spending 100,000 bucks on doors and nothing on carbines? :scrutiny:

But I won't get into that.

by LowFlyer, Is the Beretta Storm only available to LE?

No, they are available to the public. I just bought the 9mm version and I have the .45 version on order. It also comes in .40S&W.

I have slightly over 600 rounds through it now with no problems. I really can't say enough good things about it. The .40S&W will be out within a month and the .45 version will be out this time next year.

Accuracy with the iron sights alone is very good. My first time at the range with it last month, I put 20 rounds through one hole the size of a quarter at 60' using Caldwell rest bags. Soon as I get my top rail for it I have a Nikon Monarch red dot sight ready to be mounted on it. It also has a front rail that pops out which as soon as I can afford it I will be adding on a Surefire X200 LED.

LE depts are going to love these, especially in light of the fact that they are totally ambi (even ejection port side) and come with stock spacers to increase or decrease overall length.

Here is a picture of two storms, one plain and one loaded.

Now you're getting into the Twilight Zone/Outer Limits of PD management, where nothing makes much sense to mere mortals.
