The sad thing is, I don't have any currently, as I trade the ugly ones off.
We always see, what's pretty out there, what about what's ugly.
It must be owned by you or a buddy and you MUST post a picture and tell a story about it.
Like, an old rusty revolver that was your fathers when he was a kid and now you own it. It's rusty, the sights are broken off, termites ate the grips, but it's just something you'll never get rid of.
Anybody got anything like that ? Let's see it.

WARNING: so we don't offend people, just don't post that you think a (BLANK) model revolver is the ugliest, I actually would like to see some old pieces of crap that are just plain old beat up or ugly.

Thanks, Jeff (GUNKWAZY)

Years ago, the range consensus was that my grey .454 SRH with a SS Weaver H2 2x28 atop it was so big and ugly, it should be proceeded by a bearer with a red lantern, so young folks could be warned not to stare. Hmmm, or was the lantern for me?

I don't have a pic of it and its not a revolver, but this reminds me of my first H&R shotgun that I inherited from my grandfather as a kid. It was just plain ugly but man it was fun to tote around and shoot. I think it spent about 20 yrs behind the seat of his truck, then another 20 living in the barn. The forearm was wired on and reinforced with some duct tape. Lots of rust and dings, but I learned to shoot with it and it was a great gun until it literally fell apart.

Although I dont have one at the moment, I love the ugly workhorse guns.

Note that there are no pictures posted here yet. It is a whole lot harder to find an ugly revolver than an ugly semi-auto.

Of course, there are the old RG pot metal monstrosities, but most of those went the way of the dodo long ago.

I got to look at the 2007 Smith & Wesson catalog at my dealer Saturday. After perusing it, my nomination for UGLY revolver is : All of the current production S&W's.

The finishes, muzzle crowns (is that a lug nut?), the hole in the sideplate over the thumb piece :barf:.

This is the first time in over 40 years that I could not locate a new S&W revolver to lust after. TJ

DaleCooper51, if that wasn't done with spraypaint and had black rubber grips it'd look pretty decent, if gaudy. Those are my high school colors though, so I may be biased. ;)

Anybody got a picture of a Dardick? That is almost as ugly as that Ruger. Ohh! I think I'm going blind!

Hey Cocked & Locked, are those the Pre-Pachmayer rubber grips ?

Nagant

My Russian Nagant revolver is rather ugly.

I don't have a camera, so I found a representative example on the 'net.

The target versions are even worse.

Iver Johnson's .32 that belonged to my grandfather. It's just a hair larger than a P-32 and pretty much useless due to condition. The bore is corroded, the cylinder just spins, and the hammer won't cock unless you finesse it and get lucky. He lived to be 94 and I think somebody tossed the gun into the attic when he was about 83 - say 1974. After he died my mother wrapped it in 2 kleenex and put it in her cedar chest.

I got it recently - my father and I didn't know it was there. All the times she rode to the range with us, sat under the trees and read while we shot, and then went out to eat and she never mentioned it.

How about these?

I like the 642, but the round hammer shroud just screams ugly to me. Functional, perhaps, but ugly. The Colt Detective Special hammer shroud looks just as bad, but it's a much nicer looking firearm to start with.

Not as bad as the one with the official factory suppressor. This is just about the only revolver where a suppresor will work.
