Looking at doing the On Target thing on Sunday April 18th say around noon.

Anyone interested?

Or know a more friendly environment for "sharing"?

I have an HK .45 Tactical I try to keep current with and I'll have a new SW .38 Airweight Bodyguard that I am picking up in a week.

(I know the airweight isn't near as fun as the Tac but I have this recurring nightmare of a misfeed when I need it most)

:D

BigBang!

Hey RiffRaff,
I'm there!!! I'll be bringing my 1911 and maybe some SW big boys. Let me know what time.

ANApex or I, or both should be able to come. I am going to try to get out the the range at least every other week. I'm getting pretty good!

ANApex, dear, Easter is the weekend before that. The weekend of the 18th is the NRA convention but we aren't going because of my dentist appointment.
Hehe, You know you are a THR'er when you post to your husband on here because he'll get the message faster that way. :p

I should be able to make it then; I have a membership if anyone needs to use the guest discount. I'd definitely like to try shooting the Tactical - put me on the waiting list!

dang.

Norton and I are heading to the NRA gig that weekend.

Have fun though, and be sure to post some pictures.

Thread hijack: Anybody interested in meeting up for a few beers this weekend? I was thinking of hitting Duclaw at Arundel Mills Friday night.

//hijack off

Sorry...as Spot77 said, we'll be at the NRA conference in Pittsburgh.

Mmmm, Pittsburgh.....Tessaro's, Fuel and Fuddle, Penn Brewery....oh, and the convention should be good too:D

Riff Raff....I DEFINITELY want to shoot that USP .45 tactical sometime....I've been wanting a .45 and since I already have the USP9f the manual of arms would be the same.

Alas I have been hijacked! :what:

Even worse I can not attend as I am on call!:cuss:

ah well next time on the beer.

Will On target allow cameras?

Have fun guys! As Norton mentioned, we'll be at the NRA gig this weekend. Remember, On Target closes at 5 on Sundays,so get there early - I think you were thinking of around noon.

And for those with memberships, DEFINATELY call and reserve a lane; they've been pretty busy lately.

If things fall through, let's plan another one real soon....Maybe a "We Beat the Maryland AWB" bash!

I am still planning on being there about noon. Of course even with this I am interested in another one soon. The AWB bash sounds good! (but that's another thread)

Norton did you send for your CMP yet?

I would love to meet some of you guys, I haven't found many gun people in the area.

If anyone has something that they would like to shoot post it.
If I have it I'll bring it.

Hope to see you guys there!

RiffRaff,

No joy on the CMP yet.....wife needed help with paying for the sofa for the living room. Domestic harmony is much more important than Garand:p

Ohen Cepel,

I won't be over to On Target before next week, but if you see a 6'7" guy running rounds through an HK...stop by and say Hi

I sould be easily regocnized Sunday by these! :D

Riffraff,

Unfortunately I cannot attend because I'm one of those people who work weekends - every weekend, and an overnight (a.k.a. graveyard) shift at that. I agree with Ohen Cepel that it would be great to meet some of my fellow firearms enthusiasts, it's just that very few people seem to have a compatible schedule. :(

Still, it would be great to hang out, do some shootin', chew the proverbial fat, and take a group photo (with the hardware prominently displayed) one of these days, wouldn't it? :D

By the way Riff, where'd you get the cool baseball cap?

From here, keep an eye out for Correia (SP?) to offer hats for sale in general gun discussion.

Darn, with Passover (ended recently) and my job search I haven't been on THR much lately and I haven't looked at this section (Rallying Point) at all. I just came over thinking a MD shoot was about due and I was going to post something if someone else hadn't beat me to it. Man, you did it today, Arrgh! Oh well, next time.

Well, if anyone who missed this (or who made it and didn't get shooting out of their systems for the week) wants to get together some evening this week to do some shooting let me know. Maybe we can also have a non-shooting get together soon.

The weather is wonderful today, and we are getting to the time of year that it should be consistently nice (or at least warm)- maybe we should have a MD THR picnic soon.

We could either look into meeting at one of the Patapsco State Park areas (the one on Marriotsville Rd may be nice, the one on Rt. 40 at the Howard/Baltimore County line is also nice and it is convenient). Another possibility is renting a picnic pavillion (or risking that one will be open and don't reserve it) at Centenial Park in Columbia. The boat rentals should start soon, so we could always rent a few canoes if anyone is interested, and fishing (well, sort of) could be part of it if there was any interest as well.

Let me know what you think of the picnic idea (hmm, maybe I should post a separate thread?)?

So how was the shooting?

Norton and I just got back from the NRA convention....man !!!!

Ted Nugent is an AWESOME speaker.

And we ALMOST saw a lady get her head blown off by about 40 cops on the parkway on the ride home...what a mess! BIG shootout.

I'll post more later; I'm beat.

Pittsburgh is fantastic.

Wish I could have been there today, but as Spot77 alluded to....we were having too much fun in Pittsburgh:cool:

Good thing we were a few minutes late leaving the conference center or we would have been right in the middle of that shootout:what:

Shooting for Girl and I was fun but quick. Had to get home to meet my parents who called the night before to say they were coming in. My new to me 1911 works and shoots great and even my manurhin PP seems to be doing decent now. RiffRaff of course had to be evil though and get me thinking about getting an HK again.
