opinions on Win model 190 .22s, l, lr?

I'm only familiar with one a friend has. The trigger was contacting the guard and the sear still hadn't let go and the safety was pressed into some kind of pot metal part that wore out and I eventually replaced the entire trigger group for him. Wiath a scope it seems to make a good squirrel gun.

My father had one. I found it very accurate.
Had to put an O ring on the mag tube to keep tension on it to keep it from rotating and falling out. No big deal.
Trigger pull was terrible.

Probably the first gun I bought with my own money. I abused it terribly, and it just kept on shootin'. I traded it off years ago but wish I hadn't.

to see if I can make it work. Absolutely will not feed; all bullet noses impact above the breech face for a tip-up jam. AND the bolt cannot be cycled unless the trigger has been pulled. Yes, that's right: there's no way to eject an unfired round. He's not returning my calls; I think his wife just wants the gun out of the house. I'm inclined to destroy it, unless anybody has some ideas for a fix.
