USUALLY... a full size auto of some combat worthy caliber, but sometimes just a Colt Agent in 38 or a Charter Bulldog Pug 5 shot in 44 spl. Usually feel pretty safe with anything I have. Even if its just the wife's 6 shot .22LR.

Pretty is as pretty does!

Well I finally made it to the big 60 several years ago, so I qualify for this one. I carry what I've carried for almost 40 years now, one of several .357 Magnums. For a quick run to the local shop and rob my 38 special M-60 and on a very rare occasion an old PPKS.

I am 70. I also carry a Ruger ACP all the time as back up and a Glock 19. If I feel like carrying something heavy I carry my RIA 1911. I have lasers on the ACP and the Glock because I have had cataract surgery and I can either see up close or at a distance but not both at the same time. The laser gets me close enough.

I carry an Armscor M206 .38 Special caliber snubby in a hunter holster. I carry it daily, putting it on every morning just like any other apparel. It is all that is needed. It holds six shots and if I need more, I'm in a heap of trouble and should not have entered into that situation.

I can see why people want to carry all of these big guns, their favorites, but they are heavy and really not needed.
