My "always" gun is a Kel-Tec P32 because it is so small and light that I have it with me even when I carry my larger gun which is usually a S&W M19 snub. However, i will soon have a S&W 442 which will probably become my "always gun.

I also carry a Commander size 1911 from time to time.

45 year old married white male packin G29 unless it is bear season or I'm in their neck of the woods... In which case it is S&W 629PC 2.625"...

I'm 48 and carry either a 1911 Combat Commander or a revolver. Started carrying when I was 21. Carried a Diamondback for years. Went to the Commander at about 30. Still carry wheel guns too. Now I switch between the 1911 and a Charter Bulldog. Sometimes a Colt Cobra. Depends a lot on the weather.
I don't own a plastic weapon. No offense to those that do, they just ain't for me.

i'm 56. keep a scandium j frame smith loaded full power .357mag. sports crimson trace grips in a nemisis pocket holster in strong side jeans pocket. it weighs in with laser grips to within a fly's whsker of factory hogue grips...12 oz i beleive. i like the fact that you don't see or feel it, yet have some serious power available in an instant. downside, great grouping out to 50' then the spray effect begins. i sometimes carry a 1911 70's combat elite colt that i bought as a child, lol. bianchi inside the waistband holster, strong side carry. more gun imho, plus better range, (150'), than the snub, but i prefer the feathery weigh in of the smith.

Carried all kinds of handguns for self-defense since I was 21 years old when "I am not a crook" was president. For the last ten years or so, I've used a 1911-style pistol.

Interesting breakdown of age categories there.
Goes to show that shooting is by no means a young sport.

21-29 thus far ... 37+15+10= 52 people.
30-39 thus far ... 30+15+7= 52 people.
40-49 thus far ... 24+11+13= 48 people.
50+ thus far ... 39+24+27= 80 people.

Better start recruitin' them yougn's with their bad music, ill fittin' pants and long hair. 8)

I'm 25 and carry a S&W M&P 40C or LCP (currently out of commission due to reliability issues). I just bought a Sig P290 and am waiting to find a good IWB holster to start carrying it.
I'd love to get to carrying a 1911, but concealing the M&P 40C is difficult enough...

57 and my primary is a G27,I started with the 1911's and still love em.
But due to my work enviroment I down sized to the Glock 27 and 19.
When I retire and printing is not as big an issue Ill probably go back to the government modle.

44 Here. The weather pertty dictates what I am carrying. 1911 is my most carried choice with Maine weather being cool enough to conceal comfortably. Warm weather with shorts and a tee shirt does not leave alot of options for me, so its a 22 semi auto. Sometimes I will carry 357mag ruger vaquero w/high ride holster in cooler weather also.

50+ Glock 26 or j frame .38. Thinking about a NAA pug for pocket carry on a daily basis because of the size.

I"m 47, and voted revolver, I do carry one a lot, but I also carry a Glock in .40 or a Springfield 1911 in .45 regularly too. I shoot IDPA, and find I do better at the matches if I carry the same platform I'm competing with.

PUSHING 62. Always my SEECAMP 32. With MY SP 101 357 MAG .As a primary.mouse gun always in my pocket to keeps me balanced with my wallet ;)

35, and I carry my M&P .40 more often, but I DO carry my 1873 Schofield replica when the mood strikes me.

Need to disassemble an old worn out engineer boot and finangle it into a Cavalry style holster soon... make it more concealable than the clamshell that hangs the gun halfway down my thigh.

I think this is a great survey Beenbag! Very interesting.

Though I don't have a CC permit yet, my first choice will be my 1911, but I do have a LCP for the days when space is limited.
