Crazy Cat

One episode of "Funniest American Videos" had a cat acting this way when a new cat was to be introduced to the house. Cat went wild, but not at the new cat. He attacked the owners, chased one out the door, and chased another down a hallway into another room, hissing and howling. Wonderful pets.

When we first got 'Shadow' he bit and clawed me pretty good. I slapped him around a little and now we're the best of buddies.

We've had many cats over the past couple of decades, and NONE have ever exhibited any such behavior, still less an Dr. Jeckyll/Mr. Hyde reaction like that.
Many years ago this happened to an elderly, retired gentleman who lived in the apartment next door to where my first wife and I lived. The cat had been a perfectly friendly, normal cat for several years, and one day the old guy came home and the cat went bonkers. He was pretty badly sliced up before he could get out of the apartment. Animal control came, and they had a heckuva time capturing the beast.

Yeah ... It can happen.

several years ago had a problem with a feral cat when the neighbors "Baby " went into heat , the feral Tom tore up the screen door trying to get in , and howled and hissed till the early AM when I took care of the problem .... a 185 gr Hp from my rossi 94 crossed his path , it did a triple twisting backflip then hit the ground with a thud ... damage 1/2 of the skull gone . and a few choice words from the neighbors ... what took you so long.. :D

Thorn thatsa awesome pic! lol :)

The best weapon under these conditions would have to be ,"ninja death stars" :) !! Or if more proficient and looking for a challenge,"throwing daggers" ;)

That said, I had to shoot a cat with my M4gery once...It was a cold night in the winter and I had come in from eating; and after a few minutes decided to go back out. The poor critter must have been under the car near the warm engine when I started to back up and I hit it(more accurately accidentaly smashed)..... . I felt so bad for having to shoot the critter for just trying to stay warm. It's breathing was labored and it was kinda late so no way to help really.....two to the chest and I had to watch it curl up and die :( .....

I dont know about shooting a gun in my house at a cat, I wouldnt want to shoot a hole into my nice walls all for a cat. so I bat sounds more feasable or a spring baton which I have would be good.

I prefer my cats behaving this way...

Hmmm... six cats currently here (along with four ferrets, a common boa, and a dragon). Have had MANY others throughout life (mom and dad were critter people). Have had exactly ONE "mean" cat: little female we rescued from the streets. She was fine and loving when SHE wanted attention, then would attempt to eat you. Called her Succubus...

And, if one of my animals was acting like that, I would probably put them down too. Be crying while I did it, but it WOULD get done... :(

I saw an animal control officer try and remove a large tom from a deceased ladys home.the cat grabbed ahold of his leg near the groin area and just bit him till he let it go. guess his pole with the little loop just wasnt lonnnng enough.

its my bet the cat went down the basement, and a spider got it.

I've got nothing to worry about! I've got a cross-eyed Siamese cat named Winslow. If he ever did anything like that, chances are he'd be slamming into walls! :neener: :banghead:   :fire: :cuss: :)
