I carry my snub in a Galco leather pocket holster (#PHI58). I like the way the holster holds it in place and breaks up the outline of the gun. Believe it or not, I carried it last night for the first time without the holster. (I bought the gun used and the holster came with it.) It struck me instantly how much smaller and lighter it felt and how much size and weight the holster adds.
What are some makers/models any of you would recommend for something smaller, lighter, thinner than the Galco? By the way, skip the Nemesis as a suggestion. I tried one for my Kel-Tec and, although it seems like a quality made item, defeated the whole purpose for me. I felt like I had stuffed a dry sponge into my pocket.
My bro-in-law suggested making one for myself out of plastic cut from a milk or laundry detergent jug. Has anyone tried that? (This made me think of possible cutting a "liner" for an Uncles Mikes from this material. Past experience with that model was after a short time they get "crushed", start to take on the shape of the gun and are therefore less effective at breaking up the outline.)
Thanks, all.
