I picked up a shotgun today from the used rack at Scheels.

Its a Stevens model 745. Looks like a licensed Browning A5 lightweight clone.

Guns is in pretty good condition - I would say 75% easily with most of it being stock wear and one spot on the receiver. The barrel is mint inside and outside. Has engraved receiver of hunting dogs on one side and birds on the other. Hand cycles fine, will test for proper function tomorrow. The internals look A+.

Paid $150 and figured a working semi-auto shottie ought to be worth that.

Whats it worth....I figured $150 to $200ish.

Ya did good. WHile the Savage is not as "stylish" as the A5 opr even the 11, it's a solid, well made gun that'll last nigh forever with care.

If not dinged severely, more like $200-250,IMO.

Enjoy....

Not many dings......the stock wear is just cosmetic. The clear finish is worn off in a few places revealing the bare stained wood.

I will get a picture up later after checking for function.

Dave...

I was wondering if you could help me located ANY information regarding when these guns were made. Serial number is 126485 but I cant even find ANY information on these guns.

Or even when Stevens went under.

My best guess would be between the Wars. Sorry, Harley may be able to help you better.
