I bought this primer filling tool about 5 years ago. I use it in conjunction with my Dillon 550b and XL650. It works pretty well, though not perfectly. I think I paid about $50 for it. I couldn't see spending the money on the one Dillon sells for about $300 that doesn't work consistently either from what I understand.

I'm just curious, does anyone know what this part is from

Vibraprime is the fastest once you learn how to use it. Bought mine from a frustrated user for $20 - LOL
Watched a few videos and figured it out quickly. Works like a charm - directly into the Dillon pickup tubes - don't use the adapter.

I've used the Vibraprime for years without issue. You do have to use the correct technique to get a smooth flow of primers into the tube.

The only hangups I've experienced has been with Winchester SPP...I think they are slightly larger in diameter...so I stopped using them

I've got the Hornady one and use it all the time with no issues. Can I ask what problems you had?

My Hornady works really good as well. It would have an issue with some primers but after removing a little flashing from both large and small holes it hasn’t had an issue since.

I was always happy with the vibraprime but when they stopped making them and the prices people would pay for them were crazy, I sold the ones I had and bought the Dillon. They stared making them again and I bought some more, Incase they quit making them again, they are about the same.

They are not just a “dump and hit the button” device. The operator needs a bit of skill. The angle fore and aft controls how they flow and if they don’t drop down the tube I make a similar move to the one I use if I am fishing with a popper. Looks like this.

I figured out the fore and aft angles...at the beginning, the big revelation for me was which side to start the primers against.

I'm going to give this fishing movement a try the next time I get a reluctant one. Thanks for the vid

I've been using the FA vibra prime for several months now.
Small primers = rarely a hiccup
Large primers = complete frustration.

I've tried smoothing up the hole on the large side, even ordered a spare tray & tried it. After 3-5 primers one ALWAYS hangs up.

Here's my thought/opinion. The dillon rf100 unit has an adjustable rheostat to control the vibration speed in order to get a smooth feed between small & large.
It's my opinion that in order for the vibra prime to load both sizes, it would need a speed control.

I know nothing about the hornady unit. Does it feed both sizes without issues?

They do...it is your finger. It isn't an on/off switch

They must have changed them, the VP’s I have are on/off.

FWIW the variable speed Dillon’s are “new” the old ones were just on/time delay off, they added the adjustable vibration a few years ago.

My Dillon RF100 has never failed and is a much better value than $50 for that piece of plastic...

Yeah mines not adjustable and I've never seen this feature advertised. So I believe you're mistaken.
You're both correct.

I just went out to the garage and checked. I just have a tendency to feather the trigger and sort of goose it a bit when starting the flow

I have the FA Vibra-Prime as well, and it works miracles! :) Seriously, I use it all the time without issues for SMALL PRIMERS. Large primers are problematic just as @groundsclown said. I can get it to work with large primers, but not as reliably.

I tend to load up 10 tubes at once (1,000 primers) and have them ready to go for a batch before I start loading. Take just minutes to get 1,000 primers loaded.

If mine died today, I would buy one before I went to bed.
