You do *not* want to set up a progressive to produce 10 rounds of a particular powder level, then fiddle with adjusting it to add .2 grains of powder and do 10 more, etc. etc.
Why is that? It's the main reason I kept my SD's around after getting 650's and 1050's. It makes very short work of comming up with the right load.
I agree with others though, while the 500 S&W is small enough to fit any progressive that will load rifle rounds, I would go with a turrent press. It takes to much time to set up a progressive to spend a minute and a half loading 50 rounds. If you’re running through 250 rounds of 9mm per match it makes much more sense.
That is a good point. I could barely make a couple of Lee dies work in the LNL due to lack of enough threads up high. I was able to though. It hasn't just been Lee dies though.
I have ran across the same problem I just put the jam nut on the bottom.
