Proper response to a lion charge..

I am probably one of 5 people in America who doesn't do 'social media'. All I see is a photo with a request to sign up.

Is it supposed to be a video?

The guy kneeling had a double... Oh, you mean the OTHER guy kneeling. Check out the gent in the blue shirt. Facebooks is just a tool, like a gun. It can be used for good, or evil. I hated it until I found out there was groups on there for guns, hunting, cars, BBQ, beer... all the finer things in life.

Just reject what you don't like...

Watch the guy in the green shirt...He has a .577 Double. The guy to his left is an apprentice PH and is shooting a bolt gun.

Sorry guys but that is the only place that the video is posted. If you can't see it there I can't help you. It isn't my video.

The video is of an extremely close range lion charge in thick cover. The PH stops the charge at about 3 feet.

Cool video.Not to derail the thread, but I remember watching lion charges that Mark Sullivan filmed back before I coud even spell DVD. I wonder whatever became of the allegations years ago about Sullivan goading lions into attacking for video purposes?

For my fellow anti-social olde farts, just because you join Facebook doesn't mean you have to post every single miniscule event that happens in your life. I rarely post a thing but rather use it to keep up with old friends hundreds of miles away or new friends made in shooting groups. My wife stays in touch with many of her former students. It ain't just for 14yr old girls. ;)

Just to add to this.
The link is clearly marked Face book. If you don't want to open it, just walk away. I wish it was in some other media but its not.
 
I've always said the hunters are a group often overlooked in the discussion when it comes to defensive shooting. Those that hunt dangerous game, especially for a living can lay claim to being as good as any when shooting under pressure when it really counts.
 
Not that I don't use facebook, I do.

Its just seems every link posted thru FB is crammed full of ads and links to "you won't believe..." type sites that are nothing more than another mega-ad site. Which leads to mass spamming of your home page of "related links" (more spammy ad sites) which may not be related and difficult to block.

So I use it for nothing more than keeping track of family & close friends.

Just find the source, and link that please.
 
I wish I could see that video but don't do face book either. If it's posted somewhere else please let me/us know.

Tell you what guys. If anybody can help me out with finding the source on this vid I can re post without the FB link. In the meanwhile lets not make this into a FB bashing thread.
