I saw a great deal on Palmetto State Armory's web page ($97 delivered) and jumped on it for this. Seeing how it's my first one, I wanted to take it down and see how the bolt works. Looks like a great quality component.

Aim Surplus has a good BCG with a 9310 bolt for $80 right now. 9310 is supposed to wear better than mil spec Carpenter 158 steel. This looks like a very good deal right now.
As I understand it, bolts are wear items, and will eventually fail. The best ones just last longer, sometimes much longer.

I would be wary of an 8620 bolt. Keep an eye on it, check the lugs carefully each time you clean the bolt.
Yeah walkalong, I was sort of kicking myself for not waiting till cyber monday, but I felt the deal was good enough and I don't get out to shoot more than once a month and maybe I'll shoot 100 rounds, so this could work ok for me. Worst case, if the bolt breaks, I can always buy just the bolt to replace it.
