I recently acquired a "Navy Arms" 1858 New Model Remington Army made by Pietta. It is in amazing condition, even appearing unfired. I am wanting to purchase a .45 Colt conversion cylinder for it. My question is:
I understand the date code of "AP" indicates a 1986 mfg date. I've read on various forums that Pietta revolvers need to be made in the year 2000, or later in order to use the conversion cylinders. Any truth to this? Thanks in advance.
