Question: what guns do you WISH they made?
It could be any platform and any caliber, but within the realm of reality (no plasma rifles in the 40 watt range)...
I'll go first...
1. I really wish they made an inexpensive S&W Schofield clone in .22lr/.22mag. It could be scaled down even. Basically think Heritage Rough Rider but a Schofield. It'd have a working ejector like the real deal when you pivoted it open. It'd be like a sub $200 gun. I know there is that H&R 999 sportsman handgun with the triangle barrel, which is really awesome, but I'd love an actual single action Schofield! Heck, it'd be awesome if they made a full size version in .357 mag...
2. While we're on the subject of break open revolvers (I'm obsessed with top break revolvers). It'd be awesome if someone made like a Webley Mk VI clone in .357 mag. Or it'd be REALLY cool if Ruger made a top break stainless GP100 with a 4" barrel, that'd be the ultimate revolver! I know break top revolvers aren't as strong as bill framed guns are, but I've got think with today's metallurgy and materials, I'm sure they could make a break top revolver in magnum calibers. They already make a schofield replica chambered 45 colt.
3. Speaking of Ruger revolvers, they should make a 6 round version of the SP101
4. Also, Ruger should make a lever action rifle. Maybe chambered in .357mag, (9mm would be cool too, if you could find flat point ammo) 44mag, 45 Colt, 30-30, and 45-70 gov't. It'd be stainless with an 18" barrel, side loading gate, slightly enlarged lever.
5. I would love it, and it would be so cool, if Kriss/Vector would make a rifle chambered in 308 that takes AR-10 mags. Put that recoil reducing/camming bolt system to good use. Start with 308, maybe to go a 6.5 Creed in the future. It'd be cool if they made one in 556/223 that took AR mags too.
6. More handgun options in 5.7, perhaps a Glock, M&P, and 1911 versions. Maybe some other rifles chambered in it.
7. More 10mm handguns and pistol caliber carbines. I know that hi point and Kriss each have a carbine in 10mm, I'm sure there are others too. But it be cool if they came out with a lever gun in 10mm. Ruger should come out with a 10mm semi auto other than a 1911.
9. These aren't guns, but a couple of wildcat cartridges I've thought of: a 10mm necked down 9mm, basically a 357 Sig with longer brass and thus more case capacity. What about 45acp necked down to 9 or 40? A revolver/lever action caliber to bridge the gap between 357 and 44-40 perhaps?
10. I don't know if they already make these, but either a 1911 with a polymer "lower", or a striker fired 1911. And maybe with that new "half stack" idea of Sigs to bring the capacity to 10-13. That would be awesome!
Let me know what you think of my list, some of it may actually already exist. And before anyone asks, "why would they bother making X?", because this is America, and we can!
I'm really curious to hear what's on your guys' lists!!! Let's hear your ideas!
