"I don't really know what makes him so special. He is pro-gun and all, which is good, but I don't really see why so many people like him so much."

For me it's because he's so straight up and no BS about him. I admire that in people.

I'd like to see Emry as a spokesman for the NRA, but I think Tom Selleck would be a more viable president.

However, I don't see either of those men particularly good at politics.

I agree that Tom Selleck would be an easier sell as NRA President. I would support him but I also admire Ermey for his outward no-nonsense demeanor.

Ermey would be great as POTUS!:D

But YEW MAGGOTS don't deserve him!

Actually, he has TWO fatal flaws that would keep him out of politics.

He tells it like it is, and he doesn't kiss....... well, you get the picture!:D

I can't quite recall where I saw it (hannity&colmes perhaps?), but there was an interview where he was asked if he had any plans on entering politics, his reply was that he wanted no parts of jaw jacking and baby kissing. The Gunny is a great person to have on our side, and there is no doubt he is, but his main loyalties and the focus of most of his work are with the troops. There are all to few popular and vocal people supporting them, and too many Rosie-o's bashing them, and it doesn't seem like there are any troops that meet him and don't come away with a smile. Now a Rosie-o and Gunny debate is one I would pay to see:D

He is an interesting, likable person, he can ham it up with the gunny routine and he is that type of guy, but he can also be sincere and intelligent.

He is a good guy to have backing up the RKBA. There is nothing worse than a Hollywood tough guy who gives an interview about how bad guns are and how much damage America is doing in the world, RLE is the antithesis of those phoneys.

I'm not so sure I would actually pay to see that. The gunny would steamroll
right over Rosie O'dummel and never look back. The "debate" would probably last all of 3-4 minutes. Rosie does not debate. She rants and raves. No way is that gonna fly with a Marine DI. He'd ream her a new one and she'd be left wondering where the hell the freight train that hit her had come from.

Rosie vs Gunny... Rosie would win or a draw. He's still concened where his next paycheck is coming from.

pablo45,

That guy from Mail Call?

I saw him wearing a dress once...what a pervert.

I wouldn't vote for the bum if he were running for his life, let alone for any office.

Real males -- and real women for that matter -- are getting harder and harder to find in America nowadays...

I was hoping for such a scenario, call me evil, call me petty, but just the thought of the Gunny screaming "YOU GRABASTIC PEICE OF GARBAGE" in Rosies ear as tears stream down the sides of her face puts a smile on mine:evil: would be the best $20 I ever spent

Oh and cloudcroft, Its a kilt, Guiliani is the crossdressing one.

alucard0822,

I know what a kilt is...it wasn't a kilt. A Summer dress perhaps, not sure/don't care.

Changed the channel.

Didn't know that about Mr. G...

I guess I didn't see the episode where Ermy was wearing a dress, only a couple where he was wearing a WWI scottish uniform, and a couple other ridiculous looking ones, but I am sure there is no way it was anywhere as bad as this

Now I don't feel quite so bad about the guy in this photo, one of my early screen heros, as he appeared in the 1969 movie The Magic Christian.

Would anybody have guessed it was Yul Brynner, star of The Magnificent Seven??????

Just got to thinking (not always a good thing)...how does Ermy and Eastwood sound for a ticket? Eastwood doing his Gunny Hiway from 'Heartbreak Ridge'.

I would have suggested Jack Webb from 'The DI', but he has left the building.

Sorry my friend but from what i have seen lately with eastwood is all on the other ticket. Eastwood has totally changed and just like the governator he is only a b.a. on film. He has fallen to the otherside.
