Range tools ?

I carry a few small tools for gun work in my range bag but if I need to do some heavy work all my vehicles have a complete tool kit in them. I rarely get stuck some where because something broke.

I have two multi tools in the FJ, but not in the range bag, multiple knives as well.

Both. Got a fixitsticks kit, then added and removed items (bits, pliers, coin, batteries) as needed.
Love Fix-it Sticks. I have a big set that I have tweak and added to that gets used in my gun room and a smaller set that lives in my range box.

All in One Torque Driver set that lives in the range box. The torque adapter does 15-65 inch pounds.

This is a combination of the two sets that they no longer offer but you get most of it in the Works Kit but in one fatter case. I have added more bits to cover all US customary and metric hex bits and the ratcheting driver T-handle

I am mostly a rifle addict so my range box is equipped accordingly. The range is only 10 minutes from the house and I try to shoot 2 or three times a week plus a match every month.
My range box is a wheeled tool box base (16"wx14"dx15"h) containing my rifle rest, front bag, rear bag, a third sand bag, a towel, 3-piece cleaning rod (just in case), ear protection, targets, stapler, masking tape, spotting scope and high powered rifle ammunition boxes for the HP rifles making the trip.
A snap on module to the base is approximately 4" high with multiple small and large compartments and a clear top. It contains small screw drivers, torx screw driver that fits scope screws, sae and metric allen wrenches, 'cheater' reading glasses, shooting glasses, 2 pens, 1 pencil, 1 tweezer, (1) 3x5 note pad, 2 empty chamber flags each for HP rifle and smallbore rifle, and an assortment of 100 rounds each of 8 different kinds of 22 lr and 200 rounds each of 2 different kinds of 22 lr by RWS, Eley, Lapua, SK and Aguila .

I don't always shoot smallbore every range trip, but the ammo goes along every trip just because I'm too lazy to constantly put it away and reload it into the range box when I want to shoot smallbore.

Love Fix-it Sticks. I have a big set that I have...
I also have other Fix It Sticks for the shop. The clicky torque limiters are in the Olsa holders in the tool chest and I got the look-at-dial tiny one for the portable kit, but it is almost entirely used for others as my stuff should be assembled at home. Mostly this is stuff like zeroing.

Don't have the current setup as described, but previously the portable one:

Not much at all, I bring my earmuffs, shooting glasses, my practice mags and plenty of ammo. I've got a bag in my trunk that has a pretty good selection of tools, and 99% of the time I''m shooting at an indoor range maybe 3 miles from my house.

Ah, the fabled brass magnet. What is its day job? Harvesting fallen nuts or golfballs? Sounds like an excellent solution.
It was actually purpose built for brass scavanging. It picks up everything from .22 brass to .50bmg brass.
It makes it easy to add to my brass collection. I just walk the whole range and have a marathon sorting session with my sifters when I get home.

Yeppers, I've got a very good selection of tools in my truck. And "99% of the time" I'm shooting at the county gravel pit about 2 miles south of the house, and using my trucks tailgate to lay the guns on that I'm not shooting at the time. Sometimes I even use the hood of my truck (and an old, folded-up blanket) to rest my rifle on.;)
Range bag??? I don't need no "stink-king" range bag.:neener:

The older I get, the better a magnifier sounds. And I've been eyein' some of the wagons I see at the range. Now if I can just get those kids to get off my lawn . . .
Getting there myself, would come in handy at a PRS match.

Thinoptics.com has very thin compact reading glasses which might be useful if you break or lose your regular glasses.

Merit makes a little adjustable iris that sticks on you eyeglasses. If you have plenty of light, the aperture lets you easily focus the front and rear sights and your target. I always have one in my handgun bag.

If I'm just going to the club, I carry a stool (with a bag that hangs underneath), a box like a cleaning lady would carry room to room, and throw a few things into the car like my shooting coat, scope/tripod, shooting mat, cleaning rod, targets, frames and sandbags.
The stool carries my sling(s), a net bag for brass, glasses, earplugs/muffs, glove and hat.
The box carries my logbook, club badge/key/card, sunblock/bug juice, ammo, magazines, sled, lighter, timer, stapler/staples, tape/pasters, screwdriver/pliers, sight black.
If I'm going to a Match, I carry everything on a 3 wheel jogging buggy and add water, raingear, data book, snacks and ditch the targets, frames, sandbags. Screwdriver, cleaning rod and pliers stay in the car.

I always have a leatherman, everything I need for competition stays in a range bag for the discipline. My range at the house isn’t far enough away to do much more that keep paint down range and a tape gun, target and staples at the back door of the shop. Down at the farm I repurposed an old mail box and bolted it under the bench.

Staples, gun, targets, paint, bug spray, brass catcher, zip lock bags for spent brass, ear protection, roll of TP stuff to write or mark with and some pasters, stay right where I am going to need them. The little rod above that is a 36” bronze rod, been used a time or two over the years as well.
