RAR Compact 22-250

Looking for some feedback on the compact version. The length of pull would be good for the wife, but not sure about the 18" barrel. Afraid the blast might knock her ear muffs off or give her a new hair style. How much velocity loss in that caliber should I expect?

I ended up getting one in .223. Thought the barrel would be too short for 22-250. You could get the regular american and buy the compact stock. Extra $100 bucks or so.

Would the compact stock need to be inletted for a standard barrel? I have been told they are the same profile and would work and told it would have to be cut out some.

My RaR seemed to have the same profile barrel as the other americans just lopped off shorter. Id assume the stocks should fit, even if they dont the only place youd have to remove material is right at the front and would only take about 5-10mins.

It's all a matter of preference but the shortest barrel I'd consider for a 22-250 is 22".
