All,

Back in 2014 THR had a strong PIF forum and RCMODEL held a drawing for those of us that were big into PIF. I happen to get fortunate and was selected for the RCMODEL LEE classic press. (picture attached). Well we no longer have the PIF forum as before, and I want to pass on the LEE press to someone that really new RCMODEL and would remember him the way he should be remembered. While I am honored to have received this LEE press, I want to pass it forward to someone more deserving in the remembrance of RCMODEL. I do not recommend that the press be used due to some wear and tear (the way i received it), but sit as a reminder of a fellow THR family member.

If interested please send me your name in a PM. I will collect names over the next few days and draw the winner on Tuesday. I will coordinate and ship this to the winner.

And in the spirit of PIF i will throw in a couple of items.

this is an amazing forum! I don’t do social media at all. So it’s good to chat with a group of like minded people, especially with the strict lockdowns here in the west coast.

Question, how long has THR been around?

A-MEM, RCMODEL was a great person and he had an absolute positive impact on this Forum. I have and will continue to miss his knowledge. Every time I see a post about PIF, I think of him. His knowledge was so helpful for when I was at a loss. A great human being that will continue to be missed by everyone who had the privilege to know him. RIP RCMODEL...

Funny you mentioned him. Just yesterday I was researching something which took me back to one of his threads. Besides a wealth of information and good accurate information he was just one hell of a nice guy. Never once did I see any anger in any of his post. He just served as a model to the rest of us. He is missed and should be.

I can't get the image link to work just as a side note.

He was truly a gentleman on here... never knew him outside of here, but always paid attention when he posted cause I knew it was the good stuff when he did.

Hard to believe I've been frequenting the forums this long...16 years I think on this one... its tough not seeing all those good guys that are no longer here, heck I miss some of the hecklers too, lol.

Whenever I do a search looking for load info and such, anytime I was directed here, more often then not rcmodel had some posts in the threads.
Even us longtime lurkers benefited from his knowledge long before joining the forum.
All of you that knew him personally and had the opportunity to chat with him here, hats off to ya

He is the one who helped me resolve the misfire primer issue I was having in my Charter Arms 38spl. He recommended a second press after using my hand primer. So I would use the primer in my press to do a second press to flatten the primer. Never had a misfire since. He had a name for it, but I forgot what he called it.

It is great to hear all of the nice comments about RCMODEL. There is still a wealth of information from him in the Library of Wisdom link.

If you want your name on the list please PM, so i don't confuse reply's here with being added to list. I am only adding PM requests to the list.

Lefty that is an awesome thing to do! Thank you!

I searched something on here a couple weeks ago (don't remember what it was). While reading through the posts one long response stood out to me for several reasons so I scrolled back up to see who it was. Sure enough it was RC.

He was certainly one awesome individual!

WOW thank you Lefty! It'll really mean a lot to me you have one of RC's presses. Of all of my newby reloading questions back in 2015 RC would chime in on every one.

He never treated anyone like they were stupid for asking a question, instead he took The High Road and answered with sincerity and respect.

I'll make a special place for it and post pics when in I'm finished.

Looking back I really wish I had thought to PM him and thank him for everything. :(
