Ok........I Need Help! I was layed off for 5 weeks and loaded 4k rounds of 40 and 4k rounds of 9mm. I cleaned de-capped, sized and primed another 2k of each! I am out of cases and believe I am going through withdrawals! I walk to my bench and just stare at it longingly! Should I start an RA club? I only shoot 200-300 a month!

Seriously jonesing!

I came into a full-to-the-rim 5 gal bucket of crimped 9mm that needs decapped & reamed. Do the whole bucket & you can have 1/2 :D

I'm the same way. I have bought dies for everything I own except 243 and 9mm. The 243 is a 5 rd/year gun that was bought for the wife. The 9mm sends brass into orbit. Not sure how many 38spl fit into a 2gallon bucket but that's what is ready with 5 gallon bucket of 357 next to it. About 300 .270 and 500 30-30. So...I can relate. I did send home a press and 2 sets of dies with my dad recently and getting him going with all the extra stuff was fun too. I suggest getting a friend into the reloading game too, but then it might become a competition for most or best which would worsen the addiction.

Use your calipers, and sort through each load individually.

Every one that is more than .001 or .002 out of spec, break them down and start over.

Learn perfection on your terms :D

I haven't been able to reload ANYTHING since the last week of March. I will not be able to reload till July. I'm going nuts. Got a new LnL seating in the box here that I take out to just look at it but can't set up. Can't even do anything will all the cases I have fired since then. I just get to look at them. Is driving me nuts.

You guys shoot to reload. I'm the other way around, if I have all my loading caught up that means I'm ready to shoot again. I enjoy shooting and reloading both but shooting is my main passion. Loading 4k at a time is fine but you ran yourself out of work.

I load smaller amounts than that and get to reload more often especially since I like to experiment with different loads. If I find a better load than I'm using I don't want 4k of the last load sitting around so I have been trying to stick to 1k or less with my established loads (500 would be better) and 100 or less of my workups. I'm doing mostly workups right now and they are all single stage.

I had forgotten how long it takes to load on a single stage!

My problem is the opposite I shoot more than I can load.

Solution:Just send me a few thousand of them and Ill send the empties back for you to load! It's what I call a Win win ;) :D

addiction -- what addiction. I do load to shoot, but it's fun enough to load as well. But, I'll agree with the others -- time to get to shooting and make some more empties.
I loaded up some 9mm lead rounds with some new bullets and I'm at the test load stage. Haven't had a chance to make it to the range so, I'm waiting to see how they do before I load the full batch.

I sneak downstairs every night just to load 15 to 20 rounds then I run back upstairs and flush the toilet and go back to bed; and I'm single. Jeez I need help.

I post so much here because I don't have anything that needs to be reloaded. Join the club.

I've never heard of flushing a toilet as part of the reloading process, do I need to incorporate that as part of my ritual?

Get more cases at the range.
Visit other ranges and get some more.
Scoop berdan cases as well and convert them to boxer.
Do all of the above at night with one hand tied in your back...:)

I'm glad to see that some of us don't complain about components ant prices...

You guys shoot to reload.

That is definitely me.
It started out the other way around. We got started reloading so we could, get this......save money. Hahaha
We figured we would get to shoot more, which we certainly do.

But now when I run out of brass I'm like, "We've got to go to the range, now."

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE shooting but reloading is so relaxing for me. I can retire to the man cave and not think about anything else.
Some days I prep brass, other days I load handgun rounds.
Sometimes I fire up the furnace and before you know it, I've got 500 bullets cast up (with a dipper no less).

It's cheaper than therapy and better for me than drinking too much.

Now that wasn't funny till you said you were single.

The real sickness is all the brass I can't stop picking up. I couldn't possibly use all the 9mm an .45acp brass I have.
Bought a new SA RO 1911 in 9mm. Prresently making up some loads to see what it likes. That will keep me occupied for a while.

I fail to see that you have a problem. Last time I was sick I got to see what passes for entertainment on TV. I think the only problem you have is you need more brass.
