Recruiting idea

So, I've been working on this plan to set up a recruiting booth of sorts. The idea was for a table, sign, and a laptop (really, that's all the logistics) either in front of the store or in the firearms department of Bass Pro/Cabela's where people will have the option of either donating to the NRA-ILA or becoming life members under the current $300 price (I would act as a sponsor for anyone who wants in). The idea has occurred to me to try this on a larger scale, but I wouldn't know how to begin organizing such an effort. Think store managers would be receptive? Have you seen anything similar done (outside of a gunshow)?

I'd approach the manager of one of the big chains like Gander, Cabela's and ask if they'd be interested in this. Discuss the possibility of getting other Lifers to participate at each of their stores. Check with Friends of the NRA for volunteers.
