I am confused, I am looking at their online catalog and Midwayusa, and it looks like there is a 38special/357 Profile crimp die as well as a 357 only. The 357 only is a special order, and the 38/357 is in stock.
What is the difference between these two dies? Why would Redding make one which is dedicated to 357 only, when the other can do both?
My other question is, do people find a big difference in doing the seating and crimping in 2 separate stages? I know for semi auto rounds the sentiment appears to be do it separately. Does this hold as true for revolver rounds needing a roll crimp? I do have an empty 5th spot on the press if I want to do so.
Is the Redding crimp die the best for making uniform roll crimps?
