I have a Walther pp 32 acp 7.65. I bought a set of 32 acp carbide dies from Lee for reloading. On the Lee instruction sheet it has the bullet diameter at .311. I’m confused about which bullet diameter to use. I see 32 acp bullets ranging from .311 to .314 in both lead and fmj’s. I calibrated the bore diameter and the largest size comes to .309. (Can’t find any specs on the bore or groove dia for Walter pp 32 acp to make sure I’m correct on the size.) Do I need to get a Lee resizer die for .309, or a custom factory crimp die, or both? I read a post by Ed Harris in 2009 about reloading the 32 and was fascinated with the info, but don’t want to take a chance on reloading until I get the correct info. Any help would be appreciated.

Most 32 ACP is loaded with .312 dia bullets. I use my own cast bullets @ .312 when loading my own 32 ACP.

If you have fired factory ammo, chances are it was .312 dia. Your standard Lee sizer should be fine. Load a few and try them for accuracy before doing in quantity. I use 2.5gr of Unique powder with my 77gr cast bullets.

Ed Harris has a wealth of information.
