I have a Rem 1100 trap gun that is a little too long for my wife. I want to shorten the length of pull to about 13.5 inches.

Is there a way to do this without cutting the present stock? Can I get a shorter recoil pad?

What does it cost to have the stock shortened by a gunsmith?

glenns,,,how much do you need to take off???

you could buy an old stock at a gun show or flee market,,and cut it to see where you need to go before you change the original

i put a choate stock on my 1100,,,the one i got is a black plastic and it has spacers in 1/2" increments,,,,pretty nice stock,,you may not want it on a trap gun but you could use it to see where you need to be with the wooden one

look around you should be able to buy a stock fairly cheap,,,,may even use it and if you decide to sell the 1100,,you could put the original back on

my .02
