I would to have my walnut stock shortened to 13" LOP. Will the smith be able to re-grind the factory recoil/butt pad? Does anyone have a ballpark what this is going to cost?
Brownell's shows a price range of $30-$75. I had a shotgun stock cut for my son and a new recoil pad installed to replace the hard plastic buttplate all for $35 thirteen years ago. I've done my own since then. It's not that difficult a job if you've got the time and patience to do a good job.
Edit: The toughest part of the job is getting a good square cut but even that can be corrected with a sturdy flat surface and sandpaper or a beltsander.Just don't get in a hurry.
