The Rem 700 makes for a mighty fine varmint rifle with a host of nice aftermarket accessories such as the Arnold Jewell trigger. The Rem 700 is a better bet to shoot really well out of the box, and if it doesn't you've got a better chance of finding a smith with experience tweaking the Rem700 for accuracy.

hmmm... both are nice rifles, the Browning has a longer barrel and the Rem will put a bigger dent in your wallet. Me, I looked at a Browning yesterday and pretty much fell in love with it. I'd lean toward the Browning...

Remington
1-Easily adj. trigger
2-Probably better out of box accuracy
3-Easier to sell if needed.Much bigger market share out there for Rems.
4-Made in USA versus Japan.I would rather have my money stay here.If I support American industry, there is a better chance an American will buy my product/service
