I'm stumped. I've taken lots of bolts apart, but I can't for the life of me figure out why the roll pin that retains the ejector button and spring, won't drift out? Does it only travel in one direction? Or am I just not tapping it hard enough?

The rest of the bolt was easy to disassemble, just can't get this button out.

I have not worked on the new Ruger but ran into a similar problem on a Tikka recently. The ejector pin had to be drifted into the firing pin channel which meant the firing pin assembly had to be removed first. Might not be the same situation but worth a try?

Thanks Richie!

The roll pin only drifts in and out in one direction. Tricky little design, and oddly unusual compared to other ejector buttons I've removed.

But anyway, all is fine now, thanks again!
