Rifle and pistol in same caliber

Hi...
I have multiple handguns in .357Mag, .41Mag, .45Colt and .44Magnum.
I own one lever gun in .45Colt, .44Magnum and .357Magnum. I would have one in.41Mag but I just haven't found one yet.

I just enjoy having a rifle that shoots the same caliber as whatever revolver that I happen to be carrying.

I don't shoot cowboy action... it's just nice to have multiple options.

Commonality of shared ammo, mainly. I have two lever rifles in pistol calibers and a semi auto rifle in .22LR. That's just less ammo to buy and stock and warehouse.
 
I just bought a miroku/Winchester 1873 in 45 colt to go with my Ruger OA with cylinder and Ruger Blackhawk. But i haven’t shot it because I didn't do my research. I wanted to shoot Ruger only loads in both. But the toggle-link isn’t strong enough. I need to sell it and buy a Henry big boy side gate.
 
Do they make a handgun designed for the .460 weatherby magnum round? And if they did, not sure this 73 year old wants to shoot it!:rofl:

However, I also have no desire for a .308 handgun, therefore, I guess I'll keep with my two rifle rounds and 9/.40/.44 handgun rounds. Not too complicated for even an old guy, and I have plenty of shelving space for the rounds needed.:D

A Rossi 92 would also work fine.

I have a Ruger 44 Carbine which I hunted West Virginia with extensively and my complimentary S&W Model 29 44 Magnum.

While I have plenty of .357 Magnum revolvers I would like to find a nice .45 Colt lever gun to compliment my Ruger Redhawk .45 Colt. Really just a matter of preference as there are plenty of nice combinations out there to choose from.

Multiple combos.
Marlin 1894 & Ruger GP-100 - .357 Mag.
Marlin bolt-action, Ruger 10/22, & Single Six - .22 LR.
Another Marlin bolt-action, Keltec PMR-30, AND the Single Six again - .22 Magnum.
 
Have 2 9mm 1911s, XD Compact, XD subcompact, Sig P226 Dark Elite, Taurus PT99.
Anything new 9mm I am interested in is not on CAs stupid approved handgun list.....:fire:
No Ruger pistols or Glocks but I changed the carbine to Glock mags as they are much cheaper than Rugers and since I am in a 10 rnd state:barf: I need 3 times as many.

You and me both. I'm in NY. I actually had a bunch of G26 magazines hanging around from when I owned that particular Glock. I like the carbine a lot, so I eventually caved and bought another 26 to replace the one I had sold.

Unless I am mistaken, the Camp 45 carbine (as well as the Camp 9 carbine) were made by Marlin rather than Ruger.
 
I have a Beretta CX4 in 9mm. I will eventually get a 92 to go with it, but I currently have a 9mm Shield and a Ruger P95.

The Ruger and Beretta 92 mags are nearly identical except for the notches for the mag release. I've always wanted to experiment and cut the different notches into a mag to see if it works, but I'm not that skilled or brave
 
My reason is I can carry all my ammo on my belt when I'm riding.
Also a scoped rifle is a pain to pull from a scabbard while on horseback.
 
What about 30 Carbine? Offered as both a milsurp rifle (as well as new manufacture) and a sub-model of the Ruger Blackhawk.
 
I’ve got a couple 9mm & 45acp but I’ll have to get pictures but here’s my favorite 22lr pair.

The idea sounds good, but for me it's just a feel-good thing. I don't go woods walking, looking to kill critters, so there's no practical benefit to handguns and rifles in the same calibers. Not that I don't have some, they just don't give the warm fuzzy feeling I thought they would. I can just as easily take two ammo calibers to the range. If I want a cheap rifle cartridge I'll use .22LR.
 
For pistols and revolvers I've got two 1911s and a Vaquero.
I've also got a Hi-Point carbine.
A couple of my 1911 mags have the second notch that lets them be used with the Hi-Point.

EDIT: I've also got a pair of DAO Back-Ups, but I usually don't think of them.
They're not much fun to shoot.

Rossi 44 mag mod 29, Ruger Redhawk, 44, Glock 41 Glock 30s TNW carbine .45apc all take the same mags!
