Yup, FR7.

There is quite a bit of debate as to whether theese are safe to shoot with modern .308 hunting ammo. I wouldnt. Low-power handloads maybe ok.

Try unscrewing the "gas cylinder" / bayonet lug- there should be a cleaning kit inside.

The FR8 is a stronger action and a great little carbine.
I had a spanish short rifle, and after inspection I would not shoot it. The action is weak. There is another round that is similar to 308 and I can’t recall it with certainty as to what is considered safe for loads for the guardia civil short rifles and fr7 guns. Seems like maybe 300 savage or something similar, but that’s pulling from memory. I would love to have an fr8 but wouldn’t touch a fr7

Youre probably thinking of 7.62 CETME......dimensionally the same as 7.62 NATO but alot milder.
