RIP - What happened to Si-Defense?

I saw the website go down back in October / November. The lady at sales told me they were ready for a new exciting product and their website will be back online. Then we hear the announcement that got acquired by Nemo.
I have been using them for a long time and now I cannot get anything in the same quality and at the same prices.
They are running like mad with the military contracts and since Nemo bought them I think they screwed up everything and now they sell civilian through midway overpriced like everyone else.
So here the civilians will be catching dust for a while.

Where is the great online store with the great US made products and people? please come back!!!

http://si-defense.com store is down and now nemo arms (http://nemoarms.com) is there instead and it sucks!!!.

Their 300 win mag is so ugly that I will be surprised they sell one.

Where is the great quality well priced brick and mortar for the working man? how about that for a mission statement?

Oh, I buy from them. Didn't notice they had that motto. Very nice!!
Very good people, great product and easy to deal with. Very serious about delivery, when they say they are going to deliver something they do it or honestly they say it will take a few weeks that is ok. Honesty is always the best unlike others that say 2 weeks and take months and do not follow through.
I know everyone wants an AR. Makers cannot make them fast enough and we cannot eat them fast enough but....

Looks like they were a victim of their own success. I had bought a 300 BLK barrel from them last year. It was a very nice piece of work and was very accurate.

But when someone comes with cash to buy your business, well, it speaks pretty loud!!

Maybe you guys can help me with a problem I've had since they closed. I was planning an ar-10 build and was going to use their stripped Gen II upper receiver that had a rail on the left side, I had never seen one before but now I have to have one for this build, do you guys know where I can buy one maybe from a personal collection or some store that may have it stock piled (I checked with Midway USA and they don't have any) or does anyone know of another company that makes a product similar to that? Thanks in advance.

You are not alone. Keep looking and if you find them please get yours first and then let us know.
This is very sad. I loved SI-Defense store. Now they are at midway but it is not the same. Not the same quality and totally overpriced.
Look at other brands out there. I am looking at a vltor right now.
