Is it just me or is the ogive thick or whatever you would call it on their bullets?

I have to load them really short to get them to plunk in some guns. Like 1.110 these are round nose. If I put in 5.2-5.5 grains of powder it seems like it is damn close to being compressed at that length.

Obviously other guns are ok, but it kinda is disappointing to me, I used to reload Berrys a lot and they are more tapered and don’t have issues. Performance delta are not as bad. I also have some Zero bullets that I haven’t tried yet.

RMR are great but I might have to go with someone else’s due to this.

I load the 124 gr RMR "MPR" at 1.110" for my Glocks. I've shot a couple thousand with Titegroup and HS-6. Both work great.

I load the RMR 115gr rn at 1.150. I load the RMR 124gr JHP AT 1.120. These lengths feed in all 3 of my 9mm guns.

Ya that’s how I found out I was too long on OAL my Glock 45 didn’t go in to battery one time and I plunk tested at the range. Stupid me I should have checked once I switched projectile brands.. I wouldn’t worry about it with titegroup because you are probably in the low 4 grain area. I use VV 340 and 350 and you need 5.2 on up on powder.

I've always loaded my 115s at 1.090 and never considered it an issue. That's with a full case of unique and it was a good fit. I believe it was 5.8 grains but I dont have the data in front of me.

I have noticed the 124gr JHPs need to be loaded a little shorter for my Kimber Micro CDP, 1.1 or 1.09 if I recall correctly, but no issues other than that, and if I load to this length they shoot in everything I own.

I load the same bullet (124 fmj rn) at 1.120 so it will fir through my big mags with extensions. All I shoot now is a pcc, but when I shot a few pistols I loaded at 1.130 and they worked fine. After reading one of the several myth buster threads here by LIVELIFE (sp) about seating depth and bearing surface I feel that deeper seating gives better performance.

• It's true. The RMR uses a blunt ogive to apparently get more rifling contact. I load these at 1.060" to shoot in my CZ P10c. They load, feed and shoot wonderfully.
• Compressed powder is a "useful guide" and not a "reloading rule". There are only a very few powders where it actually matters.
• 1.110" is not "really short". Anything longer than 1.000" is permissible, a long as it fits the chamber.
• The only "issue" is in your head because it's simply not what you've become accustomed to.
• I guarantee the RMR will shoot more accurately than the Berry. Plated bullets are nice, but they simply can't compare to jacketed for performance.
• Do what you have to do, but IMHO you are allowing your "feelings" and not the "numbers" to dictate your actions.

All the best.

Thanks for all the replies. I guess my main concern was a compressed load not being ok. I’m not compressed from what I measure but it’s close. I have a p10c as well. It used to be my Shadow2 was the shortest gun I had but I picked up a few other guns and a lot of them need shorter than 1.112. I’ll keep loading them, so far 1.109 ish seems to work. I’ll check my P10c

RMR Ogive question ... I have to load them really short to get them to plunk in some guns ... 1.110 ... p10c ... Shadow2 ... 9mm FMJ Round nose 124
Gen5 Glocks are known to have almost no throat before their rifling starts
Eley uses RMR manufactured jacketed bullets for their 9mm competition ammunition loaded to 1.150" OAL and tested in various firearms - https://www.eleyammunition.com/minor9_competition_pistol_pcc_rounds/

"The reference firearms for Minor9 Pistol are CZ Shadow 1 4.7” barrel, CZ Shadow 2 with 4.7” barrel, Glock 34 Gen5 5.31” barrel, Walther PPQ 4” barrel, Smith M&P Core 4.2” barrel and the Tanfoglio Stock 2 4.45” barrel."

From the "Barrel vs Bullet Max/Working OAL/COL" thread where Tactical Kinetics conversion barrel has shorter leade and Lone Wolf Glock 23 conversion barrel has almost no leade - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...col-for-reference.848462/page-2#post-11465109
