I went with the family today on a little road trip to lower Michigan to 'Lunkers' at Edwardsburg. We had a real nice meal at their Anglers Inn restaurant, the kids watched the fish in all the aquariums that surround the dining area, and got to go see the aligator in the other side of the store as well as some nice taxidermy on some other animals.

I went to the gun area and they had a nice selection of 'finer' guns. I asked to see a Weatherby SxS in 28ga. It had a 26" barrel with nice engraving and beautiful wood with a semi-pistol grip, double triggers and a nice balance to it. I believe it was the "De-Italia" ?? model. Very nice for about $2500.

The gentleman behind the counter was very profesional, checking chambers before handing over, things you expect, but don't see very often. As I handed the gun back he said. "There are some Beretta SxS's over here", as he headed further along the counter. He handed me down a Beretta Silver Hawk in 20ga. It had a single trigger, and exquisite wood with a straight stock. I liked this gun better than the Weatherby. Just a bit more weight in this gun, which I expected being a 20 gauge, and it had a great balance. I could see myself shooting this gun for birds or clays. It was $3000 for this one, not real bad for what the guns are IMO, you may find them cheaper other places, but the salesman was very courteous and professional, which is becoming unusual in today's world. They also had other Weatherbys SxS's in 20 and 12 ga, as well as a 12 ga Beretta Silver Hawk. They had a great selection of different O/U's as well.

Just thought I would share my day of 'relaxation' with you folks.

You gotta be careful handling those Silver Hawk's. They follow you home and you only have a lighter wallet.
yes, beautiful guns, I love mine.
