I hope I dont offend anyone. I am not soliciting for personal gain, simply to pay for this ad. If I dont raise enough in time, its going on the credit card.

Kinda Political, Ain't It?

So, what I'm gonna do is close it.

However, considering the pro-gun message, I'm gonna leave it here for now.

I gotta have a chat with my colleages before I do anything further.

. . .

Still pending discussion with other mods.

Patience please.

Re-Opened

Okay.

After some brief discussion, I'm re-opening this thread.

I know that activism inherently has a political aspect, and that stuff like this is valid activism.

So . . .

As long as the discussion remains pertinent to this matter, and does not become a discussion of the candidates and their policies, it gets to run.

So, lads, let's get us some glorious advertising.

can you let us know the total cost and the progress you are making on getting it paid for? might be an interesting lesson in activism.

I think it started at $750 out of a total needed of $1700.

Wow! It's at $1700. Good job, guys! Was THR the only place this was posted?

A lot of SG News readers are well aware of Ron Paul's understanding and support of the constitution. Were else can we put this? :D

Could I have permission to distribute this ad at my work? Also when is the deadline for donations? I'm straped for cash until next friday.

Thank You, sir

I can not contribute right now but in a month or two I hope to be more solvent & I will then.
Thanks again.

I went to the web site shortly after seeing the post and it was already paid for.

We're not talking candidates here, we're talking 2A activism...

Glad to see this. A group of us locally are renting a billboard and we should have it up beside I-40 beginning in January. Attached is the tentative graphic. We would appreciate any suggestions for changes/improvements. I think we have the $$ covered for the time being.

I don't like the Iraq part. Dr. Paul's stance on Iraq is popular with a few fringe voters at both sides of the political spectrum, but most of us somewhere in the middle are pretty sure it is a real bad idea to just up and leave.

I have read a fair number of Dr Paul's statements on Iraq and I am not convinced his actual position is "cut and run" as your sign seems to purport.

I think getting out of Iraq at some point is a good idea, and a majority of Americans probably agree. But I also think most Americans realize there is a serious situation there that would be made worse by just up and leaving one day.

Trying to describe just what Dr. Paul wants to do in Iraq is not something that is easy to put into a few words someone can read off a sign at 70 mph.

Maybe instead of "get out of Iraq now", something without a timeframe could be used.

Hey! Cut that out!

average shooter is spot on:

Gun activism does not mention "Iraq" or "Immigration" or any of that other candidate+policy stuff.

If we can't keep it focused on gun-related activism and lay off the policy stuff, we're done.

Next post please.

Please keep this on topic. If we must discuss candidates lets take it over to Armed Polite Society.

I will donate some once I get some of my Christmas cash. The advertisement looks great.

For those interested, we got a lot of signatures in support of Ron Paul at a recent gun show. Its shocking how many gunowners do not know Ron Pauls stance on gun ownership.

Thanks for providing those source files. Are we free to use them in advertising as well?

My $25 toward freedom just sent.

If you get more than enough for the Shotgun News, hope you find somewhere else to also run adds.
