I just bought a used 9mm target to try and was impressed with how it shot! I like how the added weight helps to control the recoil. The trigger breaks at a clean 4 lbs. and the front sight has been changed to a tritium night sight. It also a larger back strap with a mag well for faster reloads that fits my large hands. Anyone else shoot one of these fine 1911's?

C'mon! No pictures?

I haven't shot the Ruger, but I've had a couple 1911's in 9mm (still have one, sorta) and can say I've become a fan. They're incredibly soft shooting and impressively accurate in my experience. 20210722_192535.jpg
Its not wearing the 9mm barrel right now, but for pure fun and people who are recoil sensitive ya can't go wrong.

No Rugers, but am a fan of 9mm 1911s and 2011s. I picked up the old Combat Commander 9mm '70 series for $400 at a local shop last year. She's a little scuffed up, but she she shoots great!

I've shot various 1911s from several makers over the years; I'm not a 1911 guy, but when I was looking for a 10mm, the Ruger was my go-to. I shoot them better than the others, and they are the best bang for the buck. You won't go wrong with a Ruger 1911.

Accurate 1911's are a joy to shoot.

I have a 38 Super and 9x19 Gold Cups that produce small groups with standard ammunition. I'm planning to work on some target loads for both.

45ACP 1911's sprung for target loads are soft shooting and a joy to shoot.

I have an original Colt series 70 in 9mm and it really shoots great. Thought about a commander size 9mm with aluminum frame as my next 1911 variant.

No ruger but I do have a full size springfield range officer chamber in 9mm. The 1911's chambered in 9mm are a pure joy to shoot and are accurate enough to keep things interesting. My ro with the 125gr bullets I cast & coat for it.
