I'd be all over a 40/10mm(maybe?) or a .45 ACP with the quickness. I can understand the bean counting, but Ruger should really realize their customers ability to rationalize a purchase. I mean all these .45 ACP rounds aren't going to shoot themselves. As to bikerdoc, I had a Hi-Point carbine in 9mm. Tons of fun, reliable no real issues. Never could get over the (relatively) low capacity magazines and the analogy of a large woman and a moped.
There are already a few versions in .40 out, if they had been available when I got my 9mm, I probably would have gone that direction.
