Ruger Charger pistol - is it politically incorrect?

Since the new Ruger Charger pistol is just a cut down 10/22 made into a pistol, this puts the detachable magazine in front of the grip. This seems to be one of the features of "assualt pistols". Has there ever been any mention of this yet?

There is no such thing as an "assault pistol", and even if there were, the Ruger Charger certainly isn't it. Given it's lineage, it's pretty clearly designed for handgun hunting, Target work and plinking, not tactical manuevers. Besides all that, it's a .22. What kind of "assault pistol" would come in .22?

No one has mentioned anything of the kind because it would be a silly thing to mention, dude.

By the way, I read through this and I think it sounds a little confrontational, which wasn't my intent at all. I am just saying that the Charger is about as much an assault pistol as a Gremlin is a sports car. Thats all.

okay for one you say what weapon in .22 would be considered an "assualt weapon" The M16 is a .223 and it's an assault rifle!!!

it mirrors the fed definition certain length, weight, magazine forward of the grip etc
