Back story - I picked up a little Ruger EC9S used. Nifty little pistol, accurate, really like it, but it has a quirk that I thought might just be something that happens with micro 9s - full power loads lock the slide back 5 out of 7 rounds. After I asked around, it was suggested the slide stop spring might be worn, which is very possible - the guy who had it before me apparently used it as a pocket sidearm for some time. You see, I have never used micro 9's before, subcompact CZ P-10S was the smallest I'd shot before this one.
So, I called Ruger, just to see what they said. The nice lady said it could be the slide stop or the recoil spring assembly, and mailed me both at no charge. They showed up yesterday, so this weekend I'll get that spring swapped out. I was pleasantly surprised at that, considering I wasn't the original owner and they have no warranty.
Just thought I'd mention it. Still like this little thing. Maybe I should buy another Ruger now.
