Back story - I picked up a little Ruger EC9S used. Nifty little pistol, accurate, really like it, but it has a quirk that I thought might just be something that happens with micro 9s - full power loads lock the slide back 5 out of 7 rounds. After I asked around, it was suggested the slide stop spring might be worn, which is very possible - the guy who had it before me apparently used it as a pocket sidearm for some time. You see, I have never used micro 9's before, subcompact CZ P-10S was the smallest I'd shot before this one.
So, I called Ruger, just to see what they said. The nice lady said it could be the slide stop or the recoil spring assembly, and mailed me both at no charge. They showed up yesterday, so this weekend I'll get that spring swapped out. I was pleasantly surprised at that, considering I wasn't the original owner and they have no warranty.
Just thought I'd mention it. Still like this little thing. Maybe I should buy another Ruger now.

I own more Rugers than any other brand. It wasn't planed. Just how it worked out. Any way. I bought a used SP101. The bore was not finished very good. I called them and send them bore cam picks. They had me send it in. And they put a new barrel on for me. Pretty quickly too. I would dare to say they have a unwritten warranty.

I’m surprised Ruger sent parts.

Generally, from what I’ve read, they want the gun sent back.

OP: glad it worked out for you.

I have owned Ruger pistols for the past two decades. Rarely needed customer service but when I had a problem the fixed it, and always at no charge. I have called them on occasion information about products and always got courteous treatment.

My Ruger SR22 was sent in for a broken slide lock which was caused by me, not the guns fault. Being 4 yrs old & used, I had fired over 5000 rds through it and since I didn't know how much use it got from the previous owner, I requested that Ruger replace any worn parts and that I would cover the cost of any parts that were replaced. I received the SR22 back from Ruger in 10 DAYS. The description from Ruger was replaced the entire slide and all its components, the slide stop, slide stop spring and the ENTIRE frame assembly. Fired 30 rds. I basically received a brand new firearm and the charge from Ruger, $0. Completely covered including shipping.

Brand new Blackhawk. Out of the box the base pin was very hard to remove. Called them and explaned the situation. New pin was mailed to me that afternoon. Problem solved.
SA, used Ronin 9 MM with light hammer strikes, new pin and spring sent immediatly, free

Bought a 10/22 target light. When I got it home I discovered a small split near the fore end. I emailed Ruger that evening and the next morning received a request for a photo. Sent a photo and within a half hour received tracking on a new stock.

Sounds like Ruger. I bought a LCP-MAX the day after they hit the shelves, and then sourced a 12-round magazine for it from another vendor (shopruger-dot-com was out) before getting to the range. Once there, which was several months after the purchase, I noticed issues with the ten-rounder not locking the slide back when empty. I reported it to Ruger, and told them that the 12-rounder worked fine. Ruger apparently misunderstood me and sent me another 12-rounder. I can work with that.

Incidentally, after more range time and quite a bit of other fiddling, the ten-rounder is working better, too.

I just had a very good experience with them about 3 weeks ago. I was impressed from the call to customer svc to return of the firearm.

Same. They take care of it but I’ve never been able to get them to send parts out unless I buy them from the store

ETA: they did send me a rebound spring for my MKIII 22/45 no charge. I just checked my records.
