Yes the Volquartsen Target rear sight is higher than the drift OEM sight so it was replaced with Volquartsen extra tall front sight to make up the difference.

I have owned a 6" blued MkII and a 6" Stainless MkII for many years.
This Christmas, gave the Stainless one to my nephew.
Both have had wooden grips upgraded.
Other than that, original, reliable, accurate.

All the original paperwork, receipts and ammo purchased were with it when bought new, all that was missing were ten rounds from one box. You can spin that however you want...

Excellent find! Very nice Ruger Mark II, and one of the most popular during that manufacturing run.

That's one fine looking Mk.II! I usually gravitated to the 5 1/2" bull barrel model for the way it balanced in my hand but I did have the occasional 6 7/8" barrel version and enjoyed shooting that one as well. My Mk.II has a preference for Wolf Match Target and CCI MiniMags. Let us know how it does with the other 40 rounds still left in the box!

I have a MKII with a 6-7/8” barrel that shoots great with CCI Standard Velocity and with most premium 22 lr ammunition. It is the most accurate 22 lr I have ever owned!

I only look for MKII's at this point. Or very early Std or MK1 models. Very nice.
