Stopped in my LGS yesterday to check out the used gun case (with the state of the economy right now people seem to be selling guns left and right) anyway he had a stainless single six with birds head grips 32 mag in mint cond with box, papers etc for 399.00. Buy or no buy?

A little high,...but factoring in the actual piece, I'd sure try to work them down a bit,...but it'd probably go home with me. I paid 375 for the "Baby Vaquero" version about a year ago.....with no regrets,.....one of my favorite firearms for sure.

While a lot of ppl selling these jump on the "it's discontinnued" wagon to reason thier prices. they're not exactly a rare item. Not a ton ot there but not hard to find really either. A LOT of these were shipped from Ruger well after they were discontinued to clear out inventory. they were readily availble then for very good prices. They've gone up a bit but not sure I see them as a $400 just yet at least for myself. If it's something you've been wanting , grab it. If it isn't, or if you're not to be loading the cartridge, pass on it.
I can say they're great little shooters and a LOT of fun. Have a pair of the blued ones.
