Ruger Wrangler Review

Interesting that they named it the "Wrangler". While I haven't held one yet, I get the same feeling comparing it to a Single-Six as I do when comparing a Jeep Wrangler to a CJ.

Sometimes you can't beat the classics.

Are they the same plastic stocks that Ruger is putting on all their single actions now or are they a cheaper version?

That I couldn’t say. If we all live long enough, or are old enough to have grown up with Rosewood and Cocobolo, any plastic stocks will be a disappointment. I understand price points but economy of scale and modern production/manufacturing techniques ought to allow for actual non-laminated hardwood.

I had a single six convertible I got for a song in 2002 wish I hadn’t sold it. Deal was because it only had the 22 mag wheel. But I might need to get that wrangler in the bronze I think it’s good looking. Not traditional but then neither am i.

Yes, I've been considering one of these, just haven't made up my mind yet. Your's looks great! I llke the nostalgic look.

I agree however. I can’t afford it the wrangler Jeep now. They got too pricey. I would buy a Ruger wrangler if it felt right
