Rule on IDPA shooting question?

Would you allow a Para 1911 LDA shoot w/o engaging the thumb safety?

They are always hammer down. I shot one for part of a season (P 18? Ltd) and sold it right before they were no more for SSP due to weight. Lucky me.

In any case the trigger pull is longer than my current glock by a lot. It was crisp at the end but it took a while to get there even after reset
