A friend of mine is downsizing and getting rid of some stuff, including a rough Smith 28-2 4”.
The bluing is 100% completely absent, and there is some rust and putting, but none of that seems very deep. It also has a set of Pachmyr Presentation stocks in place of the factory one.
It shoots, and everything is tight and works fine. The trigger awesome. It’s legal for deer here in Wisconsin, I like the caliber, it’s an N(!) frame, it’s pinned and recessed and pre-lock and...and...I want it.
I’m supposed to be helping her sell it, but I really want to buy it for myself. I’m not too versed in Smiths and ive never owned a centerfire revolver before, but I figure this is a good way to dip my toes in the pool.
I figure it’s worth maybe $300-$350?
