Savage 99 E peep sight

Can anyone tell me what THE correct item to order is to put a peep sight on a Savage 99E.

I have looked for DAYS !, and not found one that can positively be mounted with out drilling & tapping.

My search has told me the gun was made in 1906,but the caliber [ .308 ] was not made before 1952 ?.

Where is the safety located?

This question may clarify the time of manufacture since that seems to be up in the air.

Also, there were different sights based on this safety location.

Do you have factory or existing holes for a receiver/tang sight?

Marble makes good stuff. I put one on a Henry lever action and it works great.

I mounted a Williams FP on my .308 99F (tang safety,) but I was not able to on my 99B(?) Takedown (1920's lever safety, which requires the Marbles type peep.) It depends on how your rifle is tapped.
