Savage model 11 FCXP3?

Googling this isn't helping. I keep getting google asking me if I was searching for "Savage Model 11 FXP3". But the ad in the paper says "FCXP3".

So first question: Did the ad mis-print the name? Is there a FCXP3?
Second question: What is it? Heavy-barrel like on the 10FP? Normal barrel like on the 110 (not FP)? The FXP3 apparenlty is a "varminter", but as far as I know guns like those usually have light barrels.

Are you refering to the Savage rifle that Dicks sells for about $699, a heavy barrelled tactical carbine rig, with a scope. I think that is what the model number is on that gun. Savage often puts together a package deal setup for big box stores, and gives them a unique model number. I think this rifle is based on their precision carbine model.

Ad says its a bolt-action in .243 Winchester. 22" barrel. Which makes me think its the FXP3, but what little I've found of that says the FXP3 only comes in .308, .223 Rem, and 22-250.

According to the Savage website, it's a package series rifle. Available in .243 and .308 Win. 3-9x40 scope mounted and bore sighted. Black synthetic stock, blued barreled action, etc... MSRP: $519

It is the second to the bottom tier offering in the model 11 series package deals.

243, detachable magazine, steel, blue 22" sporter taper barrel, black tupperware plastic stock, NO Accutrigger or Accusstock, in 243 it has a 1/9.25" twist, weighs 6.5lbs is 42.75" over all length and holds a total of 4 rounds.

It will have an el cheapo, probably a Simmons scope bore sighted to it with either steel or aluminum bases and rings.

While the barreled action is superb on this particular model 11, the stock, and quite possibly the trigger will leave a lot to be desired.

The designation is correct, it is a 11FCXP3.... part number: 18004
