Savage parts needed WA. State

Greetings: I am needing a 'selector' for a VS24 Savage over/under 20ga/357max. This is the part that is moved within the top of the hammer for selection firing of barell. I see Numrich has several 'showings'...but they are all the same part number. I am getting a 'strike' on the lower portion of the fire pin, and need one that will be 'taller' and hit dead center the firing pin. I have looked and see the difference from 22 cal selectors..and 30-30 and other senterfire, but all show the same part number. Anyone else seen this issue surface before?
Anyway, I need a selector to make a good center pin contact. Any suggestions would be of great help.

Are you sure it's the selector that's the problem. The other problem can be that the rod through the main spring of the action get's bent on the Model 24s and it does not fire the cartridge . I would check to make sure the rod inside the spring is straight first before getting a new selector.

Rod thru spring is fine...one of the first I checked... this is drivin me nutso...kinda!!
