Just got this illuminated 3-9x50 AO scope recently, just got through bore sighting, so I could hit paper when I go to the gun range.
Any how, the front lense area rotates, marking go something like 10 yards 25 50 75 100 on out to 300+ yards rotation.
Noticed looking 75 to 100 yards down the street, when set on 75 & 100 yards, the numbers on mail boxes arent all that clear, kinda blurry, but when I rotated to 50 yards or less the number become very clear.

This is with it set on 9 power, also the reticle is mighty thin, not as thick as my 30/30 reticle.

Is this normal?

Anyone got a 50mm scope they want to trade? :D

The adjustment on the objective is for parallax, and the numbers rarely correspond to actual distance, so yes that is normal.

Crosshairs come in all different shapes and sizes, thinner for precision work, and heavier for faster acquisition.
