No shortage of opinions so I might as well throw mine in. If you expect to shoot at 250 or so or less, just get the basic duplex reticle (for a lot less money than the MSRP).
The CDS comes with an MOA marked exposed elevation turret and included in the price is a custom one. I've bought and use both types but I do like the CDS system if I think I'm going to be taking "longer" shots.
