Seem to have once again woken up in the correct state. "Az #1 for gun owners" according to G&A.

We're Number 38! We're Number 38! And sinking fast.

Washington state had a populist vibe back in the day, with the conservative rural areas balancing out the looney tunes in Seattle. We could get a conservative Democrat woman governor or a liberal republican, but gun rights stayed sacrosanct. We were even an early shall issue state.

Sadly, demographics have shifted. With Inslee starting his third term as governor, Bob Ferguson as AG, and Democrats in control of both state houses, the Democrats are feeling their oats. They've already tested out several gun control initiatives, which passed with strong majorities. This session is not looking good.

Yeah VT consistently ranked #2 and alot of folks would erroneously cite VT as number one and while Arizona and Vermont laws mirrored one another, Arizona had edged out VT by one detail which is that they had constitutional carry but would also issue a permit for the sake of reciprocity. VT issues no permit. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure that's the only difference, at least was. 2018 was a bad year for VT. I haven't bothered to check where VT ranks lately because I'm starting not to care. I'm looking for some southern or southwestern real estate as soon as I become a licensed tradesman.

AZ's got legendary status in some rights, but every time I've visited (Phoenix) in recent years, it's seemed more like a California enclave. I can see the whole Phoenix/Tucson metro area going the way Vegas has, and taking the rest of the state with it in the legislature and the governor's office.

If your state has elected more than an occasional D in statewide contests over the past decade or so, your rights are on the clock.

AZ is headed down that path given recent election results. KS may or may not be, since the recent governors race had some unusual factors. KS was also pretty late to the CCW party. CO has been pretty stable since 2013, but who knows.

If that is really the case, then why do the people keep electing lunatics committed to abolishing the 2nd Amendment and destroying the Republic?

PS. Of course you know that G&A is part of the Outdoor Sports Group which is owned by Kroenke Sports and Entertainment which is owned by Stan Kroenke who supported Killery Klinton in 2016 to the tune of $100,000 and then tried to buy his way into the good graces of Trump with a million dollar donation to his inaugural?

I exist in California. It ranks at 47th. I thought things were bad here until I was offered a job in Honolulu HI. Holy Cow! Hawaii must be trying to emulate Great Britain.

My home state, Rhode Island, ranked 43rd. Yet this state has, by population, as many gun clubs as any, as many LGS’s as any, no registration and its constitution mirrors the national.
Not native, but in over 50 years of residency I’ve collected and enjoyed the use of many many firearms.
About the only perk of other states I’d reflect on is the ability to have a private shooting range. Difficult to achieve in a congested state like the Ocean State.
